I’m particularly interested in those running the new Dragon Professional Individual for Mac (essentially V6)?Īny major stability improvements i.r.o. I basically only use it inside Scrivener, since trying it in Word was a mess.Īnyone else care to share some experiences? I still find it better than the system dictation, which is not bad, but Dragon - hamstrung as my version is – still offers more features in terms of correcting words, spelling mode, capitalisation etc. I cannot edit anything in the vocab anymore, with it crashing - but this is probably down to my not running the latest version… my experience of things but then again Im running High Sierra, and the previous version of Dragon Dictate for Mac (v 5.0.5). But then a Quit and Restart of it, generally fixes things.īut I have given up trying to do anything approaching complicated with it. Granted, it was not a very positive place, given the negative views being shared regarding the product-line for the Mac, but it really left me in the dark.Īnd don’t get me started on how I struggled to confirm if V5 would work on Sierra, much less High Sierra - eventually, I gave up trying to reach them, and took the plunge…įor a while. Now you have enhanced accuracy in using microphones built into all MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac computers. Only for them to seemingly close the forum down, over at Nuance? I might have upgraded, but then I started seeing quite negative feedback on their forums about the latest version, so decided to hold back, especially given the upgrade pricing… They have flagged the importance of this release with the name change from Dragon Dictate to simply Dragon for Mac. It’s a major upgrade from Nuance who are the creators of Dragon Naturally Speaking. I’m running High Sierra, and the previous version of Dragon Dictate for Mac (v 5.0.5). Today Dragon Dictate Version 5 (renamed Dragon for Mac) was released. I am mindful of maybe it just being my experience of things – but then again…
